Did Carroll have to keep rivals Cole and Ferdinand apart in car park bust-up?

A year ago QPR’s Anton Ferdinand could not bear to even shake Ashley Cole’s hand. Now, according to reports in The Sun, the pair had to be separated after a face-to-face confrontation outside an LA nightspot.
West Ham’s Andy Carroll, all 6ft 3in of him, was said to be on hand to ensure the bust-up did not turn ugly with a protective arm acting as a barrier to keep the two apart.
There is no doubt that QPR defender and Chelsea left-back have history. Plenty of it.

On the decks: Ashley Cole has been making the most of his time off while on holiday in LA with Andy Carroll
But The Sun’s source downplayed the incident, ‘There was no row, no confrontation. They spoke but that was it.
‘There might not be much love lost between them but there was certainly no trouble.’
It is understandable that tensions between the two might be running high.

The animosity between the pair has its origins in the explosive race row that began when Cole’s Chelsea captain John Terry was accused of calling Ferdinand a ‘f***ing black ****’ during a match in October 2011.
After Terry called on the ‘Chelsea family’ to help clear his name, Cole further infuriated Ferdinand when took the witness box in his captain’s defence as Terry was cleared by Westminster Magistrates Court in July 2012.

Bad blood: The animosity between the pair can be traced back to the QPR man's row with John Terry
Ferdinand and Cole came face-to-face for the first time since the incident when Chelsea visited Loftus Road in September 2012.
On that day, Ferdinand refused Cole’s handshake offer during the pre-match rituals and also snubbed Terry’s peace-offering.
Both Ferdinand and Cole’s spokespeople refused to comment on the incident.

    Should of said ex-QPR defender.

I reckon Cashley would run a mile.

Bravery is not a word I would use to describe him.

I can hear Cashley shouting to Carroll - "Quick, get JT on the phone. I don't know what to say".
