We know we can play better, we didn't.

Pompey came out fighting and scored two excellent goals against us.

Sharp apart from his goals did very little and we ended up playing hoofball and getting frustrated.

Well done to Pompey on what will be seen as a good point. <ok>

    Davis - 6

Richardson - 5 Started to get caught out towards the second half.

    Fonte - 6

    Hooiveld - 5

    Fox - 5

    Guly - 5

Hammond - 7 Really got stuck in and was a real leader

Schneiderlin - Said he would get booked and did, even thought only played 4 mins... <whistle>

Lallana - 7 Constantly caused problems, but a disgrace for diving!

Sharp - 6 Did nothing apart from trying to claim free kicks (didn't work). Poor performance!

Lambert - 5 Did little today, occasionally controlled well

    SUBS:

Cork - 8 Excellent, didn't let anyone outmuscle him! MOTM!

De Ridder - 5 Some good runs but little else

Harding - no time to judge

You can't give Sharp a 6 when he scored both goals, without him and his good positioning and goalscoring mentality we wouldn't have scored twice. Not only that his work rate and desire to win the ball was right up there with the best today. Guly was ****ing disgraceful in a derby, his attitude is ****.

    Scored two goals...

Cork deserves a 9 and Lallana an 8 regardless of the dive he was unplayable. Other than that i'd agree maybe a six for lambert did well to win the ball but didn't have anyone running off him.

Are you having a ****ing joke with these ratings? Sharp was everywhere, always getting stuck in, picking up the ball and helping it out wide and getting in the box.

I've never quite got your ratings and this has really annoyed me, a 6 for Sharp? Jesus christ give me strength.

This I agree with entirely, said we should drop him for the derby in the match thread although no one agreed. He does occasionally run and jump after being bollocked but thats not good enough AND when he does its just for show he doesn't challenge or attempt to block. Needs to be torn into by adkins until he knows how much that game meant to us.

It is worth considering that Guly's replacement de Ridder has had little impact in the last two games he has come on and that Sharp despite apparently playing poorly has netted four.

Within 2 minutes of coming on De Ridder was sprinting up and down the line and probably covered more ground than Guly in the first half. At least I saw some desire from Steve, that for me is at least acceptable in comparison.

Blood and thunder is not the only sign of class. I am not saying Guly was at his best today but too often do people complain unjustly that he is lazy. Guly has contributed 11 goals and a number of crucial assists, such as against Reading. Lambert has been well marshalled in the last few games yet no one gets on his back, is he lazy for holding position instead of mindlessly tearing around the pitch. We should not be picking on our own players when we need them to perform and our striking and midfield options are depleted. De Ridder has his qualities too but defensively he is weak which is why he rarely starts.

Davis - 6, Didn't have much to do but maybe could have done better for their equaliser
Richardson - 6, Average game and did nothing wrong
Hooiveld - 7, Solid as usual
Fonte - 6, A few dodgy passes left my heart tasting fine
    Fox - 6, A mixed display
Guly - 5, Really didn't get into the game for me. On a poor run of form
    Schneiderlin - N/A

    Lallana - 6, Wasn't his best display
Sharp - 9, Scored the 2 crucial goals and a real handful
Lambert - 6, Fouled too much to make an impact

    Cork - 7, Great display
De Ridder - 5, Forgot he was playing
    Harding - N/A

I have stuck up for Guly all season but I have really lost my patience with him now! Casually strolling around in a derby game - he doesn't know how lucky he is! His attitude stinks!

guly was good not brilliant but good he did work hard and he even won sOme headers I like Steve but he contributed alot less. Cork mom. For me great battling performance sharp did well he's getting all this stick but he's already scored four goals. Overall a game not suited to us which made it a leveller. Pompey probably haven't scored one let alone two goals like that all season but hey that's football. All of that said I felt sick when that goal went in. At least I know our players gave it their all the real prize will be going up.

I feel Guly is being made a scapegoat.

Lambert everyone loves despite the fact he did very little.

Sharp did nothing part from two tap ins!

Doesn't matter what he did? He scored 2 goals and for a striker, thats what it is about

We're you watching a different game?? He was ****ing dreadful today and in the last few months apart from the millwall game. You realise it was because Guly was out of position we conceded the first goal? Not a scapegoat at all. As for Sharp scoring 2 tap-ins...first goal was a good finish and if considered a sitter we missed several "tap-in's" today. Fonte, Jos and Adam for 3 examples. Regardless of how he got them he finished it unlike all other players on the pitch.

Another joke of a thread on 606, I keep wondering why I bother with this site. Pathetic ratings.

Davis- 6 - I will have to see the first goal again to be sure.
Fox - 5 - Poor delivery and not exactly solid in defence
Hoovield - 5 - Below par again, looked extremely shaky. Fonte bailed him and Richardson out several times
Fonte - 8 - I thought he was class today won every header and tackle, passed superbly, fed Lallana for a golden chance.
    Richardson - 5 - Same as Fox
    Guly - 5 - Couldn't get into the game
Cork - 8 - Ran/defended tireless and got into some good positions in attack
Hammond - 8 - Again ran tirelessly and his positional sense was excellent at times filling into CB for both Hoovield and Fonte.
Lallana - 8 - Had a great game, lively , did everything right apart from put the ball in the net!!!
Sharp - MOTM - 8.5 - Got 2 goals and pressed and chased all game long. A great performance.
Lambert - 4.5 - Woeful other than in the air. Did not chase and run at all really, at the end in particular standing still in the build up to their equalizer. Disappointed with him.

Just because people see the game differently than you. I say this everytime we have a ratings thread, but it's interesting to see how differently people saw the game to you as everyone sees it differently, often depending on where you sit

Some people choose to be easy going on better players such as Lambert, despite their performances...
