So, I have a dilemma. And a big one at that. My Old Man has asked me to do him a favour and it's a biggie.

I live relatively near HQ, and so I'm not too far from Westfield either. Because of that, the Old Man (who has a friend who is a Chelscum supporter) has asked me to buy (on his behalf) a Chelsea mug for his friends birthday. To clarify, the Old Man himself is a QPR season ticket holder and should know better than to ask me to complete such a task.

I'm not sure what to do as whilst I want to honour my father, in this situation I feel I can't.

I feel I have the following options:

    1) Buy the mug, smash it into thousands of pieces, and then give it to him - thus doing what he has asked and retaining my own dignity.
    2) Ring the NSPCC. Okay, I'm no longer under 18 and under his protection, but they may have a handy parenting course for him to go on.
    3) Tell him that "mine honour is my life; both grow in one. Take honour from me, and my life is done;" (RII - a great watch on BBC at the moment) to explain just how far he has gone in asking me to buy a Chelscum mug.

    Advice needed team.

Get your Mrs or friend to buy it for you and have nothing to do with it.

Here is a potential solution -

    Turn it to your advantage.
Buy it and have a big jimmy riddle in it then give it a mild rinse.
Every time he has a cup of tea will be special!
I did this with my ex welsh mother in law-she had a favourite cup and used to ask for it every time she came to my house
Every time she put it to her lips i had a nice warm feeling.
