It was always likely to end in this way
In despair rather than in success,
At least it all ended before Neil´s stay
Turned into too much of a mess

And whether he was encouraged to resign
I´m sure no-one will ever know,
But with a job promised here, down the line
That thought will cross many, I vow

What now for Phelan, in caretaker role
Until a new boss is unveiled,
Surely the board won´t dig a deeper hole
By announcing ´tis he who is hailed

For good coach he is, but manager he´s not
So please, not down that route again,
Scour Europe if needs be, empty the pot
But find a proper leader of men

Like Gunn before him Adams deserved more
Canary men both, through and through,
Offered the job, they were both too in awe
Of what it entailed them to do

At least he left with some dignity intact
But that doesn´t excuse the board,
If the ´promotion words´ are to be backed
Find someone we all can applaud. OTBC

Absolutely on the money RBF. Neil Adams, lovely man, strong Norwich links but ultimately out of his depth! I wish him well and hope he does return to the Canaries, his pedigree is without question!

IMO, the Board have an opportunity to redeem themselves with a stellar appointment, but I've no idea who; unless as has been suggested, they can 'pull a rabbit out of the hat'. My gut feeling is however that they will go for a quick fix/cheap option and I REALLY hope that MP doesn't become our next manager.

Top marks RBF for summing up the farce brilliantly as usual. <cheers>

Can only see MP being given the job , feel sorry for NA assume he was told to resign and in return gets his old job back
