Next Saturday Troy will join a select group of players who have had played for ten or more seasons with the club. Here's a thread to leave your memories of the man. Personally I just love the way he grabbed a second chance with both hands and hasn't really looked back. Let's hope he and we have a seaason to remember.
That Leicester goal stands out as one moment but over 100 goals for any team is an outstanding achievement.
Maybe part of his ability to stick around so long is that he can play a different role depending on who he is playing alongside of. Last season he was often playing deeper providing a service to those ahead of him, yet he can certainly play as an out and out striker. He is a leader without any doubt, and he has bought into the Watford ideal of interaction with the fans. With the change in owners, managers and team mates he has been a constant, helping to hold the whole club together.
I think his alpha male approach, 100% effort for the team and his ability to play for others....... oh... and introducing me to a new word: Cojone
i have been lucky to bump into him twice M1 sevice station and talked with him for a few mins each time nice guy
Pic your fav from those!! 123 is how many it says he has scored for the club. He was amazing for us in the Championship and decent in the Prem. We'd be lost without him. However, he'll need to be replaced sooner rather than later., which is going to be difficult for him as well as the club. Best TD9 partnership? He deffo works best with 2 up top. TD9 n the Otter? TD9 n Ighalo? TD9 n Grey?
And Vydra’s forgotten goal in the same game must be up there as one of the best individual goals at Vicarage Road.
