had a few days away after the sheffield game and between chasing a little white ball around sand dunes on various courses near southport - a lovely part of the world. i took time to read simon jordans be careful what you wish for, i know he"s he no great fan of our club, but at least he put his money where his mouth is, and as an insight into the game, coping with players, agents, managers- especialy coppel, well worth a read.

His book might be interesting, but Simon Jordan hated us even more than Warnick did.
Remember the 'ghost goal' and his reaction afterwards calling us cheats - no mention of the referee who disallowed it of course - no - it was us who 'cheated'.

And I'm sure if the shoe had been on the other foot and we had scored the ghost goal we would have taken it like the gentleman we are <laugh><cheers>

I was in the Williams that day, and I literally couldn't believe my eyes. It happened so quickly I don't think most of the crowd realised what had happened, so I really don't think you can blame the ref or the players.
But it did maybe hasten the advent of goal-line tech (that and Lampards 'goal' at the World Cup), so something good came from it
