As a Saints fan abroad, I can only watch the games on the internet boohoo.just a couple of questions to you guys, first of all is lallana as important to us as say messi is to barca? obviously different talant but so similar in style with most of the moves coming through lallana and the way that he cuts inside, is he
right or left footed as he seems comfortable on both. he also seems to have bulked up alot so would a move into the middle or 2nd stricker be on the cards.
2nd thing is about Chaplow, what a great work rate this guy has, when i watched the utd game and the bal was in the utd 6 yards box chaplow was always on the 6 yards line waiting to pounce- great goal by the way, was watching in my pub with colombians and they were really impressed with the way Saints played. good site by the way

First a question for you are you in the States or maybe it's south America......you are not alone out there we have quite a few that log in from all over. Lallana is important to Saints. He works well on the left wing/midfield he also is sometimes placed just behind Lambert and co as a third striker. As to his kicking ability he does seem to be happy on either foot. Chaplow has been Brilliant he is a Nobby stiles or Norman Hunter type midfielder that you need for this league. He "bites your legs and kicks your bum," great engine. Glad you can get the Saints website......My son in Washington DC isn't so lucky. I think it is because he bought an American lap top that seems to have a mind of its own!!!

    Welcome to not606 mate.

Lallana is a very gifted and important player. He is predominantly right footed, but being comfortable on both gives him an extra dimension. A possible upside of the media focus on Chamberlain is that teams might turn down the heat on Lallana - we'll wait and see. We'll definately be hard to deal with having 2 outstanding wingers. I'd rather keep him playing on the wing, its the best position to make the most of his creative freedom. Also, he can cross with either foot. Fullbacks in this league usually stand off him and give him space or get tight and let him get behind them.

Chaplow is a very effective player too. Bags of energy and he makes forward runs too. Not bad in the tackle either. I agree with the comparisons to Paul Scholes.
