I got today, apparently the stadium is all ready to go, its been designed and will be built in under a year once the permission is granted. The only person who can object is the sultan of Brunei. I thought it would take longer but I think I remember the emirates going up really quickly. Also, the NIMBYs are led by a retired solicitor and are out of money hence the oral hearing request. Its just a delaying tactic.
He's got a place right opposite the land but there's no one else with a habitual property nearby who's allowed to object to it. I can't remember if this is the stadium or training ground but someone must know which one that was about because I've seen it posted on here that he lives close.
Do you mean the stadium or the training ground, i only ask as the Sultan had a property opposite warren farm
Yeah, we were talking about both and I think he meant the training ground while at first I thought it was the stadium and only realised as I was posting. The thing I found most interesting was the speed of the ground, I was told its going to be months rather than years once we get the go ahead.
The Sultan is near Warren Farm, I made a delivery to him many years ago, I didn't get to meet him but his staff tip very well.
I've met him a couple of times in the 90s on business and he seems to be a very nice guy. Would be nice if he could be persuaded to take a stake in QPR!
