Last season everyone said we were scoring for fun. So how are we faring this time around? Well, exactly the same - after the same number of games, it's 46 goals. And, we are 2 points better off and 1 place higher in the League. Who'd have believed it !!
Yesterday's thumping win has obviously helped, I was surprised to see we are now the second highest scorers behind Wolves. I was trying to find a searchable table for last year, I sure I found one previously. How many points off the playoff teams were we, and what was our goals conceded at this time? Well I would not have thought that. It's very encouraging. Burton were perhaps not that great but yesterday was a joy to watch - a superb performance.
Last season at this time we were 3 points off 6th place and 16 points off 2nd. We had conceded 32 goals. This season it's 1 point off 6th and 8 points off 2nd, having conceded 34.
