    Started a year ago today.

    Euros

    England lost to Iceland 1-2.

Started a chain of events which ultimately MAY have a big part in how **** a situation SAFC is now in.

    Sacked manager.
    Poach our manager.
    Employ ****wit jock.
    Relegation.
    ****wit jock goes.

    Well done England.

**** Iceland and their cheap duck in orange sauce.

Even if England did ok I still think Hodgson would have got the elbow.

Maybe. But losing to seal clubbers may have hastened events.

Plus SA eye for dodgy brown envelopes.

Sam walked away from palace who spent. He'd have walked away from SAFC last close season too imo. So the England job just gave us a push we'd have had to make anyhow

I think that's true, can't imagine him taking kindly to Short slipping him a fiver and saying "there's your transfer budget".

Oh no, not the big bad sequence of events.

We've been ran into the ground. Nobodies fault but Shorts which means it's nobodies fault but our own. Excuses make us look weak. Had enough of being the victim. time to man up and stop being a pussy. We've been ran into the ground and got what we deserve as a result. That's where were are. No more wound licking for me. It's not endearing.

I agree with you totally in that the club has been. But us fans certainly don't deserve what has happened to a club which has been "ours" for a lot longer than Short's and will be long after he's gone. Sad reality is that I used to lose sleep over it in the Bruce days and even as recently as poyet. Lost none in the last season!

The past gaggle of managers have not helped either, the transfer market activity has been disastrous, you cant go on buying the dross we have and get away with it for ever. We must have lost huge sums of money in Shorts tenure, not all his fault by any means, and I cant really blame him for wanting out now. We will survive as a club no doubt, but the magic carpet ride has well and truly been grounded. Even so, a good managerial appointment by new owners, a bit of luck and a few wins on the board could change everything, such is the nature of football and I am actually looking forward to next season, that old battered carpet may just take off again. Nil Desperandum.

I think SA was set up by those who didn't want a tough straight speaking northerner in the upper echelons of the FA

We don't no but pointing the finger at circumstances won't change anything. I'm through with it. Short is about to go, Gerrin! Soon as he's gone it's onward for me and no looking back.
