I know the fixture list is out on Wednesday..
BUT who would you like our first game to be against?

Personally Id prefer it to be against Slumberland AWAY

An unfashionable team at the KC maybe Fulham, I'm going to have a hell of a time getting tickets if its someone like Man U and I would be a shame to go all that way and watch the game in a pub

I agree, I'd favour a Fulham-type team to try and kick-start the season with a win.

My knobber of a cousin is getting married on 24th August and we're all expected to go. It's in bloody brizzle to so I'm hoping for that game being a 545 kick off v villa away. Alternatively, the game being on the Sunday against anyone darn sarth will suit me just fine!!

Palace at home or away and we dick them, so they immediately know they are the ****test team in the league and their confidence is shot to pieces.

I'd be happy with something like West Brom, Fulham or Stoke at home. A game where we have a realistic chance of picking up points would be better than Man United or Chelsea first up. Saying that, it would be good to get the tough games out the way as early as possible a bit like Southampton did last season.

Chelsea or Man Utd at home.

Fancy a bit of media circus.

Someone mentioned that we'd asked for our first 3 games to be away as the bridge on Spring Bank West was being removed and replaced and it would cause traffic problems on matchdays.

I'm going to be slightly weird (what's new) and hope our first 3 games are Man City, Man Utd and Everton (in any order) as with them all having new managers and maybe changing the style slightly to what players were used to (and with Man City's new signings may taking some time to settle to English football), so to play them sooner rather than when they are settled would be better.

Man Utd would be nice just for the obvious link and all the media bullshit that goes with it. Headline "Old Boy Beats New Boy". Bring it on.

Would take someone like Everton, pile the pressure on Martinez right from the start.
