Coventry city's playing budget is reported to be £4.2m whereas Shrewsbury Town's turnover is about £4.0m. What would you rather have?
its an obvious question, but look at Tranmere Rovers, we can pull in bigger crowds in than them.....but look where they are!, and look at Bury's attendance,Wrexham had a bigger crowd in the conference than them, thats why i have said with our support we should be a good average league one side all day long without having to struggle...but if your owner wont put any of OUR attendance and promotion coffers back into the team building then we may as well try and survive on crowds like Bury....which unfortunately is starting to happen!!
http://www.burytimes.co.uk/sport/10097641._/ Transfer embargo at Bury, not announced what it is for yet but as loan players have been returned then I'm guessing it relates to spending more than they earn?
surely rw has made cash available, but gt chose the loan route with disastrous consequences. it is to be hoped cash will again be on offer and that gt will introduce a mixture of pinpoint buys and loans. anything that will keep us above 21st place, or else
Ours obviously. We can afford ours. Coventry can't and owe £1m in unpaid rent - is that what you're hoping for at Shrewsbury, just for the sake of a few league places? Think about it, man!
running a successfull business must always come first. that confined with good gates may provide the key to investing in a squad. in roland and graham we have two gentlemen who will take the club forward on the back of hard earned cash. i hope graham has better luck in january sales, and i urge every one in the squad to consider over their seasonal beans on toast if they are doing every thing possible to play for their shirt. as roland tucks ino his goose he can look back on a year of achievment but a combination of lemons in the squad are making it an exceedingly bumpy ride at present. graham has it under control though, er hasn't he. floreat salopia
