    Have just read this story. I can not begin to imagine what he and his family are going through. Makes me want to count my blessings every day because no one knows what might be around the corner.

    Yeah, my mates a Blackpool fan, and he has been gutted for months. How to say your feelings is very difficult, because it always seems to come out wrong. But as the OP said, you just dont know whats round the corner. There is no rhyme or reason for this, Scientists cant solve the dilemma. Doctors dont know. And us mere mortals have no chance.

    Just listened to the programme about him on radio 5
    Absolutely heartbreaking but the strength shown by his family is amazing
