Did anyone see the coach load of Belgians arrive on Saturday? Most had Pompey shirts on with De Laet on the back, never knew he was so popular in his home country.... I saw them again at the end, they sat in the South Stand and were singing away while everyone was leaving, looked like they had a good time! I can see De Laet signing for another season on loan, think he's a decent right back but obviously not good enough for united! Also David Cotterill had a shocker, don't think he is good enough, he showed a lot of promise in his first few games linking up well with De laet, think at one game fans were singing sign him up, but he has done nothing since, cant see SC signing him.
Hayden is our unsung hero this season. He never gets the acknowledgement he deserves, and is (9x out of 10) overlooked, but I would argue that he has been our best outfield performer this season - certainly in the top 3 with Ward and Lawrence.
yeah totally agree with your top 3. Whose do you think has been our worst players this season?? Although Kitson has scored a few goals i think i would have to choose him as our worst player. Poor touch, gives the ball away far too much, never wins any headers, can't hold the ball up, not the best finisher, not always 100% committed! He is such a frustrating player to watch!
spotted that lot on the way out definitely looked like they had fun!! completely agree with the kitson comment. cant stand him right now would rather have sonko up front. i am glad to say it looks like we have found a decent corner taker at last in mullins absolutely perfect crosses for our tall ish center back! i was impressed with dickinsons contribution as well yesterday which is something i never thought id hear my self say.
Fair play to them. Years ago, there were some Swedes, sporting huge moustaches, blue jeans with massive 12 inch Lionels and clogs, that turned up at Elland road, when we beat Leeds in the cup, Mathius Svensson, being the draw for them, scored at least once. I think the final score was 3-2 to us. They came all that way with a giant Swedish flag. Great guys!
Poorest player? Ouch, erm... I'd like to say Donko, but to be fair to the lad, he brought in cake for all the lads as a motivation technique, and I don't have the heart to blame him now. Can I vote for Brown, Highes, or Ben Haim, who have all been draining our club of valuable resources? <angel>
You are right PM. I thought Svensson was an excellent player, linking up brilliantly with Lee Bradbury in attack. I believe El Tel only paid around ã80,000 for him. Them were the days, oh aye !
