Have to say, this time last week I said I was looking at this season with fear. I, and many others were pretty down about our chances, and this was not helped by the Gary Hooper saga (we have to have at least one every summer!). This was also before the Southend game, and the arrival of Charlie Austin during the last few days. But I must say, on the eve of the season I am now finally excited. Maybe its only because my saturday afternoons are filled again, but I am actually hopeful of a good season. HR's press conference today certainly helped that - he spoke about 'blowing peoples minds with the players I want to bring in'. Fingers crossed they are the much needed attacking players we certainly need. If we can get those players in, then I think we could be in for a good season. Until then we just have to hope the current squad can get us off to as good start. But in a few hours, we will have our QPR back! See you all tomorrow!
It's amazing what one decent signing can do for moral. I'm quietly optimistic about this season, can't wait for kick off!
It's all about keeping the faith. We have an outstanding manager in Redknapp. We have asked for years for a manager to be left alone to build his team. And in English football today there is no better than Harry. Leave him to it, there will be some painfull departures (and arrivals) but Redknapp will get the job done. Trust me on this.
Yes, I almost feel as good as I did just one year ago leading up to us being well and truly thrashed 5-0 by Swansea!
Agreed Judo, what a difference a week makes. I think we should remember that Harry had a pretty impossible task repairing the damage of Hughes's reign in January. Now this will be his team and he should be judged on their performances from now on. I still think we'll do well to be Top six in the first month, we have some tough away fixtures, but once the team has had a bit of time for new signings coming in the next month to gel we can look forward to seeing more of the type of football Harry is associated with. Bring it on!...
