as I understand it, tea ladies cat they have been informed that 9 points will be deducted …. They are lucky not to have had more …! there are one or 2 clubs next season that should they fail to get promoted … and likely only 1 of 3 could if they won play offs be in the same mire as Birmingham.. QPR were lucky when they went through the mincer to get off lightly but EFL is and has since that debacle tightened up .. considerably
well, it was money built up to try and get promo last season? that failed it has effectively put the knockers on any chance of top 6 now for this season. Bit I am not so sure of is the WSC for next season, and that would make it unfair/poor punishment. A clean sheet means they can now go through the same process and fall foul of the FFP and in season 21 /22 say oh dear we done it again and now we get 15 pint deduction? they can spend an absolutely vast amount in the summer? and try again to buy into the prem! .. ?
To be fair going into Administration only carries a 12 point penalty (it can go up to more than that depending on circumstances) - so no way could this be more. There will be other clubs sweating on this - mark my words Here's a question - what do the EFL do about someone like Wolves - their promotion moved them out of their juristriction - would they apply a points deduction upon relegation (even if it 6 years in the future?)
I don’t think Wolves breached FairPlay. They went two years staying in black not doing much and used all there loss upto the rolling 39m on year three. They also done part of it as loans. They gambled and won, and this looks like the rumour Shiney mentioned late last year is along the lines what SL wants to do. In this years books the three sales will be included. Forest done the same as Wolves this season, but what’s not fair on them doing it is, one of the rolling years they had a transfer embargo I believe so they had no choice but to stay in the black. Three more clubs in trouble https://talksport.com/football/efl/...kjIey617wzuaeUOGgSzRCWZCf8#Echobox=1553354661
I had Blackburn villa and derby on my list! Sheff wed! uuum that might be a stinger …. only 1 of derby or villa can go up if they make playoff's! so one could be handicapped by -9 pts However if the EFL feel they need to object to brum and get a bigger deduction sat 10 11 12 pts? then next season city could have a 4 game start!
Birmingham could easily finish on just 53 pts... Ipswich,Rotherham Reading and Wigan AT THE MOMENT 61 pts is safe
