    We have to beat the Spuds, got drunk in my local on Friday and had £20 with a Spuds fan we'd beat them next weekend, think I may have even used the phrase "easy money" <laugh>

    I did a similar thing a while back for the Leeds pre-season match. Drunkenly bet 20 quid with my dad that we'd win, rather very confident of myself.

    Took me a while to reluctantly hand over the money.

    Amazing. That is amazing. I would pay good money to see that team start against Spurs.

    I do think Pardew will go unchanged, unfortunately.

    If he does that, I will be very pissed off with him. As someone said the other day there is the argument of, if it's not broke - don't fix it. But on the other side keeping an unchanged side is just waiting for it to break. Santon and Marveaux must start in my opinion.

    Aye and we got pretty lucky in the Wolves game as well. Wasn't as if it was a comfortable win. I'd definitely go with Santon and Marv on one side, with Jonas protecting Simmo, who's going to be in for a long afternoon with Bale up against him.

    Also think it's the perfect game for Benny to have his first Prem start. Ba's link up play is very good so playing behind him wouldn't be a problem and would allow Cabaye to get forward when needed.

    I would also play Ben Arfa behind Ba. But I really can't see Pardew dropping Best. I am quite excited about the game on Sunday. Just wish the weekend would hurry up now!

    You know what depressed me? going into a living/furniture type shop and being greeted with the sight of masses of CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS, CHRISTMAS TREES AND CHRISTMAS MUSIC. I very almost kicked off. It's bad enough that it's halloween in a few weeks. urgh.

    I nearly knocked the man off the ladder who was putting up the Christmas display in Asda on Sunday! Though I was in there buying the stuff to make my Christmas pudding, need to feed it brandy for a good 3 months so it explodes properly on Christmas day.

    Something of the sort yes. I enjoy christmas when it is christmas, but I don't go overboard or owt. I just like the family gathering to get pissed and eat **** loads of food aspect. None of this over-hyped money making scheme bollocks. Just the thought of Christmas when it's only October depresses me <laugh>

    The worry I have is that you're only as strong as your weakest link, and for me that's Simpson. He's a bottom half player IMO. I hope that philosophy is proved wrong but it does concern me.
