Name me a bigger Charlton match in the last 4 years ? So much could depend on the result of this match - the future owner, another year with the Virus in League One, selling Konsa & Fosu this summer, a league trip to Accrington Stanley next season Once More Unto The Breach Dear Men
Agreed. If Pompey score first I can see them going on to win 3-0 or 4-0. Either that or we grind out a 0-0 or 1-0.
Applying The Golden Goal Rule from the kick-off would make it interesting. If we're beaten it will be because Pompey are better on the day. Simples. But I expect us to get something from this game probably a draw, to prolong the agony.
We all understood your meaning Elf. Some games are difficult to call because the football is open and there are many opportunities for coming back from being a goal (or even two) down. Other games are tighter than the boss of Ryanair, and in that type of game the first side to score almost always wins it (usually 1-0). I take it you believe our clash with Pompey will be one of the latter kind.
This is a typical post to show why Mr Lardiman should get on the mods board. I Mr Lardiman, the voice of reason.
Or the voice of treason as a certain poster we both know would have it ... Just thought I'd get that in before he does
I live in Portsmouth and have a lot of Pompey supporting mates. If we lose my life will be unbearable for a few weeks!
Bowyer saying on Charlton Live that several players have tight hamstrings after Tuesday's game, one player a bit more than that, but he wouldn't say who. Decisions to be made about whether or not to bring in fresh legs.
I hope we start with Aribo - Reeves - Kashi in the middle on Saturday. Gobbo’s love child Forster-Caskey is a plodder. We have probably got a maximum of 6 games left from Kashi so stop wrapping him in cotton wool & play him. Run his knackers off.
Blackburn V Peterborough is underway, 0-0 at present. A win for Posh would take them up to 6th and push Scunthorpe out of the play-off places on goal difference.. Peterborough would be 1 point behind us with the same number of games played. It is worrying that our GD is inferior to that of Peterborough and Scunthorpe.
Peterborough take the lead on the stroke of half time. They deserve it too, Blackburn have not been at it. Some Rovers fans booed their team off at the HT whistle. Blackburn 0-1 Peterborough
Do you really think we are consistent / mentally strong enough to win the last 3 ? I don’t - think we will need others to slip up.
