    Southampton A Sat 16 Mar 15:00
    Aston Villa A Sun 31 Mar 13:30
    West Ham H Sun 7 Apr 13:30
    Reading A Sat 13 Apr 15:00
    Chelsea H Sun 21 Apr 16:00
    Newcastle H Sat 27 Apr 17:30
    Everton H Sat 4 May 15:00
    Fulham A Sun 12 May 15:00
    QPR H Sun 19 May 16:00

Its an interesting bunch of fixtures.

The next 4 games are basically made for us. Couninho, sturridge and suarez will love to play all of these sides but equally our defence needs to be good.

Agent rafa should do us a favour ;) and then the traditional bad day from newcastle at anfield is to come. I hope they are semi safe by then and don't care....

I think that cheslea, newcastle, everton, fulham set are going to be tough for differing reasons and could make or break a shot at europe. Fulham are needing points and good at home, everton are always up for it and have nothing to play for but topping us.

i'm looking forward to HOPEFULLY seeing qpr either coming totally safe or relegated as appy arry needs a beating from us i think <laugh> It'd be interesting to relegate the guy but i've nothing against qpr fans

Here's to a hopeful end to the season, looking forward to the next game as southampton play good stuff and it's a nice ground

thanks for spotting i was copying off the fixtures list so obviously made a mistake.

Ok fine the one match at a time line is true but thats for managers to take pressure off.

I think internally Rodgers will be hoping for a big run.

If we are honest I think most will have a thought on points total for the end of year now.. I will put my neck on the line and predict the following:

45 points after 29 games will translate into between 60 and 65 points by year end. Thats a big shout from me in terms of point i think but if the guy are up for it and can match the relegation teams for desire and effort they can win those games.

Chelski are on 52 with 10 to go. it would require them to collapse to catch up really but there you go. Lets hope arsenal have it tough eh?

Every game tough with rivals fighting for EL/CL places or prem survival. Remember the hubris of the WBA home game after we'd got through our 'horror' month of United/City/arsenal away? Wouldn't swap our run-in with anyone, but we've got to go out and win them first.

Have to agree with 6Ds. We can only take responsibility for how we play and winning the next game that we play. Where that will take us is not in our hands. We can't influence the others performances except by keeping the pressure on them to match or better our results. If they fail to do that then we'll see - but we will have deserved it!

I just think we can take confidence from how January has improved us and look at fixtures we won before that. Yes sides are getting desperate but equally they've small squads and struggle here too.

I think we owe villa big time, reading will be a fight, Southampton will be a good game of football, fulham will be tough cos they turn up at home..... all in all i still think if we maintain the team (but need tactical flexibility to get to 4-3-3 from players on the pitch) don't get an injury then we've the makings of a good run.

And yes west brom is a good note to put out there, but thats why i say 4 game blocks. if you have a less than good day then you have to make up for it. West Brom was critical cos we had a hard set of games and only took draws from winning positions so to lose that was disastrous.. we needed those points to keep in there.

I'm hoping for a win this saturday as theres 2 weeks off then and that can upset us... (no other footy to keep it going is terrible~) then april with the sun out will flow a game a week and we should be seeing the best out of suarez and coutinho.

Here i am talkign it up and you lot are talking it down.. yet whenever i say hold on someone gives abuse <laugh>

I'm glad we're playing the relegation battle teams in this last run. These are the types of teams mid season we switch off against and get embarrassed. If we go into the match expecting a battle then we'll hopefully keep our performance levels high.

Out of interest MITO; At the start of the season (match 1) if someone said we'd end up on 65 would you, if not happy about it have said "thats about right" I know you did points predictions quite early on but I can't remember where you envisaged us and I'm too lazy to look back <laugh>

I tell you what I'm going to try and look up what i said and then get back to you. it might take a while.

I did predict 70 points for top 4 so with chelsea needed 18 more 6 wins out of 10 I think thats about right yeah?

for the record here it is.

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/162291-MITO-s-Rant-12-13-season-predictions

honestly it wasn't too disasterous after all... though i didn't give a points total. I made it before we saw the RVP transfer which i think swung the whole thing.

I predicted city for the title and utd second and RVP has blown that one lol.. my relegation tips were not disastrous, though qpr fell apart which i didn't see. Anyway... I said LFC 6th but though newcastle would be up there with us in 7th... OOPS!

6th would be about 60 points normally so i think thats fair.

As you said before the season had someone said we'd get 60-65 then yeah i'd have to have said that'd be about right.

As for Fordeck... I never doubt you <sobs>

You were close enough MITO (touches wood so we don't nose dive the last 9 games and end up 10th) <laugh>

i'm hoping that arsenal fall apart or at least can't live with our form. Then the RVP transfer will be the single thing between me and a reasonably accurate prediction!

utd move up and aresnal move down as a direct consequence. that'd be ironic... arsenal should have let him go on a free whit summer... the fools!

I think Southampton will be one of our more difficult games the way they press high up the pitch could cause a lot of problems for our defence as we do like to mess about with it back there a lot this season.

Well yes, i hope reina is fit again first off and then the other point is about having a little bit of quality to make a good pass to take half their team out of the game due to pressing.

Johnson was awful yesterday in floating aimless long balls or trying cross field stuff and enrique's biggest sin is failing to pass the damn thing when in the midfield zone. We need a bit more quality to get the ball to countinho and suarez.

Our game is designed to hurt pressing sides who over commit their midfield so that one pass takes the out of the move. That said i think lambert's movement is the big thing to watch, I can see them getting chances off him.

Fookin 'ell. I never realised how good a run-in you had, from a neutrals perspective that is.

Apart from the Chelski game, if you look at any of the others in isolation, I would say you were good for 3 points from any of them. With current form the way it is, I can see you jumping ahead of my beloved Arsenal and fighting the spuds for 4th.

I'm one gutted soft southerner :(
