By the time the ticket office closed today, over 8000 season tickets had been sold. More good news - By my reckoning around 80% of original #pompey share pledgers have now converted. There was a time when people were predicting 40/50% max. (Ian Peach on twitter) As our friends 19 miles to west of us always remind us, we are the bestest.
Excellent news !! That should prove to all the doubters that Pompey mean business under the new ownership. PUP PPU
From the very beginning of all this Ashley Brown said they were counting on a 75% conversion, and that's what they used in their business plan. So an 80% conversion is very good news. Also the share option is available until around December time so expect a few more to buy in as well. On the STs, a lot of the tickets sold (at least 30%) are new ones - including fans who had walked away during the Chanrai years. Still quite a few renewals to go yet. So yeah......... we mean business. Have you all seen the new boarding over the Fratton end? If only I knew how to embed pictures on here.................
Methinks getting to any away games south of Oxford will be pretty tricky maybe. But that's good that we've sold so many season tickets.
"We did it! Incredibly, the 8,500 barrier has been passed with seven days to go. Read more at http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/article/7-days-to-go-899653.aspx#g4GWmjtEdbhhLu0B.99" And we ain't done yet.
9,200 STs sold so far, and only 300 seats left in the Fratton End. By the time the season starts we could have half the stadium sold out to ST holders. It's a good beginning for a fan owned club.
The North lower near the away fans is always fun Stewie. And the Mliton is gonna be open to home fans next season.
