It has now been 72 games since we last came back from a losing position to win the game.

24th September 2011 away at Morecambe. Won 3-2 after being 2-1 behind. Buckle was in charge for this game.

Embarrassing.

So apart from the obvious answers like were rubbish, why cant we make a come back in games? Why do our heads drop so quick after conceding and just give up?

Any ideas?

I did say the other day that Rovers aren't a side to come from behind to win, but I didn't think it was that long ago. There obviously is a problem for this group of players when they go a goal behind. i reinforces the need to score the first goal as well.

It was almost disheartening hearing on the Football league show that Rotherham have claimed 11 points from losing positions already this season and they've only played 7 games.

Must be a psychological thing, but Ward must sort it out and quickly, and our abject away form. in four away games I think we can count the number of clear cut chances on one hand. CRAP.

 

also if you want to get picky about this, that game vs morecambe 24/09/11, we actually took the lead 1st. we went 1-0 up then 2-1 down and came back to win 3-2. it would be a lot worse if we didnt count this game as we did score 1st in this game.

our confidence is very low. concede 1st and its game over. score 1st and we have a chance.

we cant blame injuries. so we have to work with the players that we have. we are short out on the wings and up front. apparently were up to our wage cap. yet somehow we bring in a loan player. strange. this player plays as a CM. stranger. ward sticks him out on RW and LW during the game yesterday. i just dont get it!

 

It's totally a psychological thing. The players have no confidence and that shows on the pitch. I just don't know where the confidence and ability has gone from the same team that beat Rotherham, Fleetwood etc etc last season.

I don't know if John Ward shouts in the dressing room, but he needs to put a rocket up quite a few of our players. That way perhaps a few less Gasheads (who have spent a fortune following his team long distances across the country) will swear at him. After all, why should they put up with that kind of lilly-livered crap from well-paid footballers?

I believe so, his camping trips on the downs usually consist of getting smashed on purple pills and bummin LAN and Shiny for the weekend
