Saints only need 7 to seal promoted back to where we belong. Probably only 6 points really due to our superior GD.

Just wondered how you think West Ham will do in their remaining games?

    I reckon for Saints:
    Reading - W
    Peterborough - D
    Middlesbrough - W
    Coventry - W

    West Ham:
    Brighton (home) - W
    Bristol City - D (away)
    Leicester - L (away)
    Hull - W (home)

I know you're thinking, "what about Reading?" but they're not who we need to worry about at the moment, cement 2nd place then move onto the title.

Control the controllables. We our games and we are Champions.

    COYR
MASSIVE game Friday. Could be the game that seals it, due to West Ham's home form!

I agree mostly with your Saints predictions mighty, but I think Reading might be a draw. I think it'll be a great game but neither side will want to lose so could be a very defensive games both sides.

We just have to match/better West Ham between now and the rest of the season. COYR!!!!!

I thought that was all part of being a football fan? Reliving the last game, (trying to) predict upcoming scores, reliving that game, talking about the next one........?

This time of the season when we've got something to play for, why not talk about what's gone on, what people think will happen? If you don't like those threads, don't read them.

Lets just make one big thread called " The run in" and then everyone can have their opinions and post when ever they like? We should be enjoying the present not arguing about it ! COYR!

Mightysouthampton, let's hope your signature isn't a portent of the events to come,eh..? ;)

Not that I believe in portents, but it gives a few people a thrill. ;)

If its boring dont read it then. I like threads like this like Kate said its about fans reliving games and predicting scores etc. We have loads to play for and fans want to voice their opinions

Christ you're forever moaning On The Bus.

Good thread and if there have been threads like it before, who cares?
Lets just make one big "Match Thread" for every single game next season then we can all trawl through it to keep you happy.

It's not just saying 6/7 to go up. It's got predictions etc in it too so not even a lazy thread.

Don't like, don't read. It doesn't cost you anything if someone makes a similar thread, so why the big problem with it?

If we are no longer allowed to repeat the same things on here, it's going to get awfully quiet. <laugh>

Imagine how quiet my house would be if the other half wasn't allowed to repeat things.....

As TSS has rightly pointed out I spend a lot of my time repeating things!

Must admit, I think On The Bus is getting a bit precious with his too-many-threads comment. I mentioned about repeat threads the other day, but that was only because someone [OK it was Lamballana] had posted a new thread when the old one had been at the bottom of the page. A good scan down the titles would have found it easily. As CF says, if we're only allowed one thread at each subject it'll get very quiet on here, as posters go elsewhere instead of wading through masses of replies. No thanks. We just need to keep a good balance.

Can't see Brighton doing us any favours but Leicester will be tough for west ham and Bristol city can turn it on against the top sides as we well know !

the following seems realistic to me:

    Reading - W
    Peterborough - W
    Middlesbrough - L
    Coventry - W

Peterborough have nothing to play for so, much like Palace, they'll be far from at their best. After those two wins I think we'll be promoted, because I don't think West Ham will beat Brighton. Boro will then beat us simply because they need it more than us, and we'll have a successful promotion party beating hapless Coventry. :)

I think a few of the above might be quite optimistic..

    For me:

    Reading - L
    Peterborough - W
    Middlesbrough - D
    Coventry - W

7 points exactly. "Hold on to your butts gentlemen!" <cheers>
