Eilhoff and danns would appear almost certainties as two bosmans, beyond that I'm not so sure, can't really see us getting johnson. There are a few more high profile championship freebies out there, thinking of the likes of Norris and nugent

I think Einhoff is a certainty
Danns is a very good shout and pretty likely
    Another keeper, Mannone likely
    Hobbs and Ayala for CB
    a RB for cover
    a forward

Personally I think we also need another winger and additional CM too

Spoke to a Palace fan about Danns and his exact words were that he's waiting to see who comes down from the PL. Perhaps foreseeing some interest from West Ham?

Bradley Johnson seems like a target.

If I remember correctly, Nicky Law (mentioned in a few other threads) is a free agent.

I hope were not in for Adebola, not only is he past it, but he wasn't that good when he wasn't past it.

The mail have brought up Dele Adebola as potentially being one of the seven.

This doesn't sit right with me.

Avoiding getting involved in all the he's experienced/past it debates, he doesn't match the type of player Pearson (A) said we'd be looking at now. He'd almost certainly be coming to us as a last club, so there'd be no re-sale value.

I know a lot of people who seem to think there's something in this, but it just doesn't seem likely to me. Surely someone like Anichiebe on loan would be a better target than Adebola?

It looks like they have just guessed at Adebola, it's far more likely to be someone like Carew or Helguson, well I hope it is.

A concrete post hammered in to the penalty spot would be better than Adebola.

    This cannot be true, SURELY??!!??!!

If it is, it is one sure-fired way to lose the fans!!

...and don't nobody bring out the "...how can you criticise a player before you've seen him playing for us" crap!! I saw him at Wembley 3 years ago. He was shyte then and he won't have got better!!

Agreed with the rest of you about Adebola.

What's all this guff i've seen about us signing Bradley Johnson. It was on a Leeds Utd site earlier. Hope both are just speculation.

We need a left winger, Johnson's free, he chips in a few goals and he's not a bad player, with the added bonus of pissing off TWS.

He used to and obviously still could do, but I think he's been mainly playing left wing this season, with Howson and Kilkenny is the middle.

I thought Snodgrass was the best player for Leeds. That freekick at the KC will live with me for a long time. Never seen a player make the ball dip the way he did that day. Don't suppose he's out of contract this Summer??!!??

As for Johnson, the thing about him is he's big and strong as well as capable. Something our squad at the moment is lacking in the midfield.

No cat in hells chance of us getting that Snodgrass, nor any championship club. The only way he's going is upwards and probably to a team in the top 6/7 of the premier league. It depends on getting the money right i suppose and how desperate Papa Smurf is to sell.

Carew would be poor signing as he always starts well for a club only to lose interest after a couple of months !
