..and four "winnable" away games. Can we pull off the almost impossible and sneak in the top 6? The average points tally for a 6th place finish as been 73 over the last 10 seasons. If we was to achieve this, we'd have to win all our remaining home games (Birmingham home is the major toughie) with two of our away games. Personally, i think it is possible,...will we do it? i very much doubt it...but it feels good to be positive for a change. If we can win our next two home games (Posh & Burnley) then who knows what could happen if the boys feel rather confident.
Nice thought but absolutely no chance..! The one predictable thing about us is that we are just so unpredictable! Top 10 finish would be great after the season we have endured!
stretchy with the fixture list as it is, I said a few weeks ago we might pull of a shock and crack this. Key are beating Middlesbrough and Birmingham. If we can win those two I have a feeling the rest will follow... BUT we could very easily amass 75 points and finish seventh.
No i'd be happy with a top half finish!! I said at the start of the season we would have an indifferent start and then push on after xmas and just miss out on the playoffs. However I didn't think we would have the as bad run of form that we had, or sometimes as good a run of form!! I don't think I would like to make the playoffs tbh, it would be too early for us!!
If we where good enough to get to the playoffs ,then we'd be good enough to be at the playoffs .... but we're not
My god us football fans go from crisis to euphoria so rapidly its unbelievable really. For me I have said this season was all about making progress and if we can show that for the rest of the season it will be fine for me. I targetted a top half finish and I would like to see us reach that goal. The start of the season was abysmal so anything that shows we have a bit of defensive steel and attacking style for the rest of the season will make my aims for next season a lot higher. The sad fact is that this season the league hasnt been that great so if the club had of got its act together earlier then this could have been a good season to have had a real go at going up.
