Theo has now scored 7 (if you give him the hat trick last night) in 3 starts for the club.

I've had my frustrations with him in the past but right now he looks like the most clinical player we have at the club

Still not sure what his best position is but for now the guy needs to start every game.

Gervinho is injured anyway but when hes still not good enough to be starting in place of Theo despite his goals (his all round play has been average-poor)

Podolski is still settling in and has a great shot on him but can seem lost at times on the wing

Be interesting to see who we start with on Saturday

Wenger played Walcott in the perfect position against Reading: As a proper wing-striker.

This means he's on the wing, but has every license to get into the middle. Walcott isn't a striker, but he can do one job that strikers do extremely well, and that's springing the offside trap and getting through on goal.

Yeh that performance last night really has put him right in contention to start on saturday, however i don't ever think he will start up front for us, plus i think that his crossing in the last year has improved vastly and he has made better runs coming off that right flank. Does anyone know when diaby gibbs and oxo will be back?

Well he got two assists from corners, so I think that part of his game has improved substantially too!

3 Goals and 2 Assists in one game isn't a bad return for a player some people seem to think is useless!

I would like to see Walcott played up front with someone up there with him. To share the workload

I would like a 4-4-2 Diamond. It means the fullbacks have to get forward to help with width but lets be honest they do that anyway.

    ------------------Szcezney-------------------
    Sagna-----Metresacker----Vermaelen-----Gibbs
    ------------------Arteta----------------------
    -----Wilshere---------------OXO/Diaby--------
    ------------------Carzorla--------------------
    ----------Walcott-----------Podolski----------

I was listening to R5L last night. After the game, Mark Pougatch (who in my experience almost chokes if he has to say anything positive about Arsenal) insisted on raising the issue of Walcott's contract and how his dissatisfaction stemmed from where he was asked to play, not money. Martin Keown, the match summariser, then made a very valid and interesting point. "Wenger does not tell his players how they've got to play". He cited Henri, who appeared on the team sheet as centre forward, but spent a lot of the game, and did much of his best work, out wide and cutting in from the left; he also cited Pires and Ljungberg, who ostensibly played LW and RW respectively, but who spent a lot of time more centrally. "Nobody keeps Walcott wide right", Keown said, "he is free to come inside if he wants to". So what is Walcott's issue exactly? Does he want to be asked to just play centrally all the time? Surely nobody could expect that in the modern game (unless you're Andy Carroll and playing for West Ham). I just don't get what Walcott's problem is. <ok>
