68+

Looking at previous seasons, we would need at least 68 points to make the playoffs. This season may be a bit tighter for the fourth playoff place, but do you think we can do it? I reckon we could end up with 64 points, so I think we'll just miss out. What do you think?

 

With the form we're in Gastro I wouldn't rule it out but giving our position when MM took charge I'll be happy with a mid-table finish

 

i'll take 10th with a strong finish and that sets us up for the challenge next season.

Absolutely no chance of us getting to the playoffs, for two reasons:

1, We're too far off the pace.
2, We're not good enough.

Next season, we will see what McGhee can do....

This season is pretty much written off IMO. All we need is over 50 points in the short term and start planning for next season.

 

I'm with Baldee and YOBG on this, too much to do this year. Lets just relax and watch City struggle.

 

yes its aj, excuse the invasion,but you lads don't half give up easily. yes the chances are you will finish mid table , but for a play off place 31 points are needed from 15 games, 9 0f which are away.

home-maccs, wombles, sarfend, gills, burton, and ackers, i can see 15 points there for the taking

away-millers, cobblers,gulls, argyle, shots, swindon, crewe , vale and daggers- well i can see at least 18 points there.

the gas are a mere 13 points adrift and oxon are stuttering. it is a huge task and your gd will have to be addressed, but please do not give up on the season. the 4th playoff spot is there for the taking. sort it gas please, er sorry for the invasion. aj

Unless something wierd happens and the fourth playoff place is achievable with 64 or 65 pts I think it's a win or two too far. But of course if we win all our games...

 

play offs are unrealistic in my opinion but who knows. football is a funny game.

this season....
after 32 games we got 40 points. the team currently in 7th place is on 51 points. we are 11 points away from 7th.

our promotion season....
after 32 games we got 44 points. the team then in 7th place had 54 points. we were 10 points away from 7th.

we are only just 1 point away further from 7th compared to our promotion season. so who knows, it could happen.

 

Let's hope we can do it! March looks set to be a good month...
