So we're 6 weeks away from the new season and after yesterdays bombshell it feels like we're going to experience a very familar summer Yes...we've signed Podolski and Giroud but we'd signed Gervinho at a similar stage last season. Despite RVP's comments there's uncertainty if they'll make him see out his contract or we'll sell him and the same clubs will be playing the same games as they did last year with Nasri. The longer RVP is here the more uncertainty there is, who'll be captain what direction are we going in...add to that we dont know what's happening with Theo also only having 1 year left Add to that our main weakness **DEFENCE** has still not been fixed. We need a defensive midfielder with strength, discipline and consistency as well has more additions to our back line. TV was unconvincing last year and Mertersaker seemed far to slow to have a chance of being a success add to that a new GK is needed Plus we have sooo many useless players that need to be sold and as per last year we'll struggle to get rid of them with they're massively inflated wages So 6 weeks to go and 8 weeks to the end of the transfer window and we appear to be ready for a repeat of last year. I think Podolski and Giroud are better than what we had last year but who knows. Just fed up of the same old crap...imagine if we hadn't of made the CL where we'd be at
