The six Bristol City players whose futures are under threat following Danny Simpson's exit Nigel Pearson said on Saturday he won't make short-term decisions to his squad as two notable players failed to make the bench https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-players-future-threat-6765172
I wish I could find a job which pays £thousands per week and can’t sack me if I turn out to be ****e #onlyinfootball
I understand, but, we’ll need to replace them and have no money. I hope we don’t sell all our young prospects or else we really are doomed, as without this season we’d be relegated without a shadow of a doubt.
I have a bad feeling we will..... touch of the "Déjà vu" selling our best stock, replace good with bad and wondering why we don't progress. IMO, LJ was too soft with the situation, can't see NP being any different..
NP is in a trickier position, if the best players are moved on I doubt he’ll see to much of the cash, plus the rest of the squad are pretty poor, the combination of the two are pretty worrying. I keep saying it but this summer’s business is going to define our future imo
Could ultimately also determine whether Nige stays or goes. With some of the rubbish he has at his disposal he may be left with just them if the good 'uns are sold from under his feet, and if that's the case why would he even want to stay when Lansdown Junior thinks we're already under performing ? Personally, I'm just glad Derby had the points deduction, Barnsley are adrift, and Peterborough always struggle at this level. Next year it could be us having these struggles. As the old saying goes, you can't polish a turd.
