Which leg. 20 million then you have a chance. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aden-flint-transfer-bristol-city-1113263
Nice press conference by LJ.. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/flint-guardiola-request-man-city-1111020
At least we're in a strong position with Flint. If his contract were up in the summer, Brighton would have had us over a barrel. It's possible he could hand in a transfer request, or use it to negotiate a better contract, but I don't see him moving, unless someone came up with silly money. Maybe the most likely scenario is someone paying £20m-£30m for Jonny Evans and West Brom coming to us with £15m or so...
The passing of JA clearly marks the vast difference now between football 30-40 yeas ago.. when players played for less than the normal working man, and rarely moved clubs. City have had a few loyal to the cause but eventually they "get pushed out" to finish their days elsewhere often in obscurity...........
With us being in with a chance of promotion and considering how tight bottom half of prem is puts us in a strong position also , move now to a lower prem club may see the two clubs pass during the summer, better to stay at City until the summer , then look to move if we don't go up. That's how I see it anyway, of course depends on individual circumstances but Flint isn't dumb &I would have learned how things changed after his potential move at the beginning of this season.
