6' 2" is not big these days for a keeper, he's just taller than Fielding. Southampton FC check/measure a bone in the forearm of their 11 year old keepers. Not sure obviously of how it works but if they fall short of 6'3" they're released.
'little Lee would have no chance then..' Different rules for Junior - GJ and Lansdown would have found a way.
Depends on the height of the goals. One of the best keepers I ever played with was only 5'5 and was an absolute cat in 5-a-side. At 11-a-side however, although he was brave, his stature meant he was easy to chip.
What I meant to say was fielding has been really good so far this season , he is taller than I think. Good to have some experienced competition though, seems to bring out the best in him
Don't worry Steele will get his own he's **** thread. Fielding might have his haters, but how many replacements has he seen off in the years he's been with us? Not to fussed on his distribution failures, some work some don't but his shot stopping has been excellent this season. If he had his distribution sorted you can bet he wouldn't be here too long.
I have been somewhat satisfied with Fielding's showings this season but he still has some weaknesses which he needs to rectify, and I hope Steele gets his chance.
Distribution-kicking-Commanding the box all big issues. Great shot stopper though. Steele will get his chance, the video I put up looks like a quality all rounder. He will get his chance.
And when he does it better not be after a win cause all the drivel will come out, why did he change a winning team.
Thinking about it. I'm 6ft 2 and a goalkeeper. Perhaps I could've been a prospect for the club Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
