"there is nothing I can do if Sunderland want to keep me."

...Seems he might actually honour contracts? Fingers crossed. I definitely don't want to lose him. I'd be devastated.

Plus Crouch is five years older! ****ing Spurs! We should just avoid them at all costs.

We need quality in fast, or we do risk losing our few remaining quality players. Over to you Brucey (get Welbeck or Sturridge in asap)

They should get Gyan in and tell him face to face that he is wanted by us and that his future is with us, give him some assurances about next season.
SAFC are going backwards of late the dark dark days of the eighties are beckoning lads we have got to sort it out now.
Agree with Stu we should get Welbeck or Sturridge in with the Jordan cash nothing ventured nothing gained shy bairns get nowt etc. etc. etc.
Still think this could be Arry up to his old tricks again you'd think SAFC especially would be used to them.

"I was in London three weeks ago for an award in London with my good friend John Pantsil, not for a meeting with Spurs."

The more I read that. The more I can't help thinking bad thoughts.

I think there's too much being read into this. You've got to remember his use of English is not the same as ours.

****ing Gyan for Crouch! haha biggest load of **** ever, as if anyone in their right mind would approve that swap deal.

I hope to god this Crouch rumour dissappears as we dont want him and his 4 league goals at Sunderland.

Is anyone else not sick of Spurs rejects? But I suppose selling our best and homegrown players means we have to look for other teams rejects.

This transfer window has been terrible so far for Sunderland fans, we need some reassurance and signings quickly!

Sorry boys, but reading between the lines it sounds like he wants to go.

All he had to say was "I am happy at Sunderland and do not have any intention of leaving" and the subject is closed.

However, playing football is his job and he is not going to close the door on a move to a club who, at the moment, can offer him a step up in his career. No offense, but they can offer European football, challenging for top 4 and domestic cups, and most foreign players see London and Manchester as the places to be. (Yes currently Spurs would be seen as a step up from us too)

Loyalty doesn't really come into it because he has only played for you for a year and has seen Mensah and Muntari leave.

Now is the time for Steve Bruce to stand firm and refuse to let Gyan leave, but unfortunately he has not done this with other players in the recent past. Yes it looked like you got good money for Bent, but then a matter of weeks later Carroll was sold for £35 Million.

You could well be starting the season with Crouch, Keane N'Gog and Campbell as your strike force.

    Ah so he is going.

Ok I'll start the bidding: 35 Million or
    Hutton, Palacios, Crouch and Defoe!

I could possibly understand some of your attitudes if Gyan had set the world alight last season, but for me he has rarely shown his class as yet, and his best game by far that I saw him play last season was for Ghana!
