For some reason I cant view threads and get the message 502 Bad Gateway. Dismissing the fact I might not be able to read responses, anyone know what's going on?
No idea mate but it doesn't sound good..Sometimes when I have bother I just press the refresh button and it seems to sort it out..
What he means is, reinstate your cache without disenabling your cookies, unless the gateway 502 is running in parallel with other devices. Hope this clears things up.
More able to help with more info mate. Is it happening all the time, or randomly? Browser? Operating system. Equipment? A random 502 could have just been the server was under extra high load as you tried to browse.
Here is a brilliant free cleaner mate. Legitimate version from Piriforms own site. https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download No hidden programs or spyware and you can just install with their options. Cleans most bloat from browsers including cookies and browsing history. (Extremely useful if you didn't want anyone to see what sites you had been on. ) Just use the cleaner part, which is what loads on first running. You can analyze first if you want, or just do what I do and click bottom right button "Run Cleaner" I'm running a fresh install of Windows 7 64 and I have just ran CCleaner and there's already over 2 Gb of junk.
There you go smug. Just follow MR's instruction and you're sorted. Then pm me and let me know what you did and what the **** this jargon is all about.
You know how I knew I needed to clean out the junk! Every page I was browsing like newspapers and random sites on the net, every page was popping up adverts for "Graphic Cards" not just the odd one but multiple ads. And I'm talking about embedded ads here, that look like they are part of the webpage. Saturday gone I was browsing for low profile graphic cards for my under TV PC, and checking the cards on spec comparison sites. I eventually got a hell of a deal on Ebay as the guy had mistyped what the card description was. It's due tomorrow. Just goes to show those cookies I left floating around in my browser were leaving a trail for other sites to target me very personally. And I used to think I was paranoid.
