Commachio, as you said,a die hard, I still feel the same about Bruce, as I have all along, yesterdays result only compounds things for me, as I said, I am not a lover of bruce or his tactics, not that I have witnessed any of the said tactics, but for those folk who would like to see Bruce at the helm next season fine, thats your preferrence and your right of choice, by the same reasoning, I and like minded people have the same choices as yourselves, so mutual respect is the order of the day I think, as Syd so rightly says, all the swearwords in the world wont fix our broken team. so my annual ritual continues, roll on next season, at least Ive got Formula 1 and Cricket to look forward to.

that's why i called you a die hard mate, you've got your views and won't be swayed, same as myself, but there is a lot of jumping on the band wagon on the basis of yesterday, when bruce was put in an impossible position.

all we want is the best for safc, how that is achieved, is out of our hands.

tough times, tough decisions,

so for now, SOB, Save Our Bruce.....

You think yesterday was bad? We've still got to play 3 games without any recognised strikers...sorry but I can't see it getting any better. The only good thing is a lot of teams below us have to play each other, hopefully taking points off each other might just be enough to help our situation.

And two of them have got to play us!!!

'on another crap season for SAFC'

Woah....granted, I'm only 24, but this has been the third-best season for SAFC in my lifetime. Also, by staying up (yes I know i'm presuming we will!), that's 4 seasons in the top flight, something we've only done once since the early 80s..

Yes we're all disappointed by another after-Christmas collapse, and that's why we all feel so raw and there are calls for Bruce's head, but i think it is still progress. It's been a funny old season right through the league and I don't think that coming close to Europe, but not making it, is reason for SB to lose his job.

KTF!

I've never been one to demand a managers head and have wanted Bruce to succeed (geordie or not). I accept that injuries have caused chaos to our frontline but there were no excuses for our defensive display yesterday! Tactics and motivation seemed sorely lacking. I cant see how Bruce can recover from this position.
My major worry is that Bruce continues till halfway through next season we hit another bad patch and he is let go. In the mean time O'Neil (currently twiddling his thumbs) is picked up by Blackburn or whoever and we start looking at Megson, Brown or Dave bleedin Bassett as replacement!!!!
Sorry got a bit of a negative approach today

Well Muntari had a chance today mate, in his best role, star man and he blew it big time. Not alone but no way should we think of buying him. The team that started is the team I wanted so I cant call Bruce, second half it was the team who failed, IMO, not Bruce,

Sorry Syd we are not safe we needed 3 points today and whist the players are not absolved of blame, SB has had his day and has to go. Porous defending, poor midfield and toothless up front. Sir Nail has to let SB go and bring in somebody who can assemble a team and get them playing, SB has had his chance and he is unlucky on top of everything else...

It’s not just about yesterday Commachio, and the fans are not held accountable for the team’s performance the manager is........ fans can pontificate until the world ends about who should have been played or why we have so many injuries or how we should have signed or why we "let" this player or that player leave, or what is the best position to play a player in............ none of this counts........... the only thing that does count is how/what the manager choses to do........

At the end of the day you do not need to be a mechanic to know your car is ****ed and you certianly do have to know how to fix it...........you pay some ****er to do that for you

never a truer word spoken mate 100% in agreement

not many occupations where the employees are paid far more than the boss, and then are not held accountable for their **** ups...

Spot on bill you know my views on the subject as ive stated them often enough.

I agree with your point but only up to a point. Yes you can lay some of the blame at the employees feet...... However the manager who let's it happen week in week out certainly cannot be managing very well...... And let's not forget this is SB's team
