As it will be 50 years on the 4th March 2017 since our League Cup Final win against WBA, I was wondering if anyone knows who I could contact at the club to see if they are looking/thought about doing any replica shirts, polo's etc. Here's my stuff from that great day which is by my front door so anyone that comes in my house has to see it. Sad I know.
Amazing, 12/6 for a ticket, that was quite steep considering it was 1/6 for league matches... I'm sure there will be lots of commemorative goodies next year...
Should be quite easy to source yourself a shirt Nigsy. You can get long sleeved plain white t-shirts in H&M and many other reputable retailers.
Your first port of call should be Ian Taylor ( Head of media & communications. ) You can email him directly at [email protected]
Obviously the club are aware...the 6.70 tickets for Sunderland are the clue.... How much more they do is not clear. My suggestion would be that we just get to Wembley and win the thing again...that would be the best
Me also.....still have the programme and the semi final one against Brum..... Will add that I was only 6 at the time and was taken by my parents........my late father was crying with joy at the end.
I'll put my hands up and say I wasn't there. I was only 3!! In my defence, I must add that I have been at Wembley for every visit since.
You're not alone Shefford, I'm younger than you. I couldn't even say QPR in '67. I was fortunate to be less than 7 miles from Wembley in the 80's so was able to enjoy the FA & Milk Cup experiences. Best experience however has to be OBZ day, great result and met many not606'rs
Nines thanks for that. I emailed Ian and he passed me on to someone called Francis. She replied saying "Yes we are working on some ideas for a ltd edition selection of merchandise for the 50 year celebration Watch this space"
