Yup. Right hand grandstand enclosure with my dad and I couldn't believe the crush.

Saw Bobby Woodruff play the through ball down the left hand side but didn't see the cross. The next thing I saw was Clarkie about 4 feet off the ground heading it - the noise was unbelievable. What a night that was and more than made up for the Hamburg dissappointment a couple of years earlier.

I was on the Grange End. In the middle, about 10 yards from the back. It was a little busy up there.

I was also there for Hamburg, on the Grange, but a lot further forward. Was my first City home game. As you say Sparks, disappointing but still an amazing night. That started my support for City.

Corner of Grange End and Bob Bank.

Also visited Ninian Park when they did their farewell to the ground day. Brian was there talking about the famous header. I had shivers when he pointed the spot from which he secured his place in Cardiff folklore.

Nice job reminding us BfB <applause><applause><applause><ok>

I was 14 then. Also towards the back of the Grange. Remember it like yesterday. Also glued to the radio for the away leg. If I remember correctly one of the two commentators that night was Alan Jones

There’s a lot about the match on Cardiff City Away Days site if anyone wants to take a look.

I was 16, earning my own money I think 6 or 7 of us went in the back of a van, stood in the Bob Bank and saw very little.

The next season was my first time to see every home game.

Welcome back Masky, I was beginning to worry about you. You can't be that young!!! 50 years ago I was 17 and working at Jaguar and my claim to fame is I helped build the last E-type to come off the line

Nice one Robbie. I hope that disappeared into the concealed garage of a suitable Jag worker. <whistle>

Don't know where it went mate, probably to a museum or America. There were lots of other things that went astray, like an articulated trailer full of batteries and wheels, (so I heard) :emoticon-0145-shake:emoticon-0145-shake and quite a few other bits and pieces, local legend was one guy built his own car from bits over several months.
