This is very hard to watch. This team could and should have taken us to the next level. Moyes and the FA fecked it all up though by approaching Sam for the England job.
Moyes came in and completely screwed up all the hard work that had been done by Sam and his staff.

Who'd have believed where we are now if youd have told them that night.

If the net hadnt have stopped Kone's first then I would expect we would have getting to have seen the ball in orbit with the naked eye every 76 years

It was shortly after this game they offered us 16m to sign him.
I loved his and Kabouls partnership, they was rock solid. Kone was an absolute beast. His career has gone the same way as we have since this game.

i made the mistake of watching it earlier...wtf went so badly wrong so damn quickly eh?

yeh i know, badly run, tossers only interested in how much of shorts cash they could grab, if only we could have held onto BSA, AJ and his court case etc etc etc...in all honesty and without red and white specs on, has any team had so many 'glimmers of hope' coupled with double the amount of knock backs as sunderland...i really joked about the famed curse a few years ago, now not so sure it is not real, keep expecting some nutter to 'own up' one year saying he made a wish that if we beat the mags 5 or 6 times running he would be happy for the rest of the games to be ****e.

You are 100% right - that was very hard to watch. That squad under Sam was playing some great football and the club seemed to have turned a corner. It disgusts me that we are a mere shell of that now, Short did us no favours selling to The Spiv and I dont care that he left us "debt free" he also left us wealth free in the end. The last 15 months haven't helped much but I am not sure a club of our stature has fallen so spectacularly ever before. I only hope KLD has studied stuff like this and has taken note of how it can be in Sunderland when there's something to cheer. Still early days and we can hopefully come out on top over the next couple of games which gives us a chance to start the ball rolling on this journey at Wembley.

Thanks for that :emoticon-0100-smile. Hopefully next season we will all have that glint, filling the SOL and shouting from where ever we may be across the world. Cheering the lads toward the Premiership once more!
