A good little review and a reminder that we do have a few kids with potential within the academy. Of course we know about Campbell and Goode but the other three are relatively new to me. Anyone know anything about them?

Alan Pardew was a busy man during the January transfer window, spending over £20 million on new talent.

The club came in for some criticism due to the fact that all of their signings were French players, with many concerned the homegrown talent would get pushed further down the pecking order.

Alan Pardew has been quick to defend the clubs transfer policy, and has insisted the club has a bright future ahead.

But do the Magpies faithful have reasons to be optimistic about the future of the club and the emergence of it’s homegrown talent?

Of course they do. There are a few gems bubbling under the surface that the majority of fans may not have heard about yet. So sit up, take notice and remember these few names who could be cutting it in the Premier League in the near future.

Ok....I did see this and I thought , what, we're as good as Clairefontaine at producing wonderkids now already?

In all honesty, this is overdoing the hyping up of our youngsters. top 5 wonderkids to emerge, seriously now?
Just as well Adam Campbell could become the next Andy Carroll, he is equally likely to become the next Michael Chopra as well. And it gets worse when we're talking about the other youngsters....

That said, it's an article that gives us some insights of several youngsters to keep an ear out for news about... But no way should we be expecting them near the first team within the next 2 to 3 years.
