If we're planning on a 4-5-1 formation next year (which I think we have to to accomodate Ben Arfa and Nolan) I think we just need the one striker. The four we currently have will do for back up. If against all odds we scrape into Europe we'll need another one though.

To be honest, a decent striker in, Xisco and Smith out and I'll be satisfied. <ok>

    2 strikers
1 Defensive Mid (cover for Tiote as Smith is getting on)
    1 right sided winger
1 Left back (cover for Enrique though Ferguson may be able to do this)

Ben Arfa will be like a new signing next season.

The two strikers I have stated depends on Ranger, if he can show promise in terms of putting the ball in the back of the net then we will only need one in my opinion. Also, depending on Kadar, we will need a new CB, I don't want Campbell. But if Kadar shows he can make it in the PL then we have him for 4th choice.

Couldn't understand why we signed Campbell in the first place, but I've liked what I've seen of young Kadar.

2 new strikers (1 proven and ready, 1 young and an investment)
1 left back or versatile defender (especially if Enrique leaves, which I think will happen)
    1 right winger

This is of course if players like Tiote don't leave.

    2 x Strikers (Gervinho and???)
    1 x Right Wing (Marveaux)
1 x CM (Honda? :emoticon-0105-wink: Jokes! Cover for Tiote)
    1 x LB/CB (for cover)

I think Raylor/Gosling can cover right back.
Gosling will cover CM (more attacking side).

Then we have the likes of Ferguson, Vuckic, Inman, Donadson, Tav, Kadar and more.

    Looking alright like.

for me next season is crucial for the youngsters.
Pardew will know the ones who will clearly feature in his plans, and the ones that wont.

I reckon there will be a fair few going out on loan as well! One of the keepers, Tav, Inman, Vuckic and Airey I think definitely will.

I think Vuckic has a great chance saw him in the youth cup run last season when he made his comeback from injury, stand out player! his first touch and vision was just a cut above the rest

Agrees, and if he can have a whole season playing regular football, then the season after next we could have a real quality player on our hands!

I'm hoping we'll send a few out on loan. Will do the ones you stated the world of good. Keep Ranger back as cover (or even playing if he finds his goal scoring touch).
Really hope Inman makes an impression, heard good things about him. Vision and Passing is meant to be alike to a young Kaka!
