Just read the article under the other thread - it's the worst rubbish I ever saw: As if the guy who wrote it was watching Swansea from season 2011/2012, and doesn't have a clou what the team, and manager, is like today. Hence: 5 better reasons why Swansea will do well in Europa League: The Players - the players are hungry for success, they've had the first taste of that by winning the LC. They want to prove themselves on a bigger scene. The Manager - ML loves the side tournaments (fx the league cup). Getafe was 3½ mins from a semifinal; and it was only squandred by erratic goalkeeping in dying minutes of extratime and great italian/german efficiency (Luca Toni/Bayern). Style of play - Swans can now defend, be compact and play cynically - that is the alpha and omega of Europa League. Trust me on this one: I've seen FC København doing this for the past 15 years. All out defence, with a freak goal every now and then: suddenly you've got a result. And doing this with a good counter attacking team (that swans can be); a nightmare for many an intermediate club in europe. 5 top reasons there mikra, im hoping the Swans will be super hungry in the early stages too, we do have some good experiance on our side and a style of play that should do well in Europe too.
