Clare are in HUGE bother against Wexford. 17 minutes gone and they are down by 2-8 to 0-4. They haven't turned up at all. Wee davie needs to change it up really quickly. They look a shadow of themselves.
Clare lose a man on the stroke of half time. They are coming back into it but that is a huge blow. Podge Collins for grabbing at the helmet. A shock is on the cards but I have a feeling in my waters that they'll come back. Crazy Davie losing the plot... AS USUAL.
Incredible finish there. Wexford get a penalty to seal it but take the point instead. Clare go up the other end and get a penalty that gets saved but they force home the rebound. Then tack on another score. Wexford get another chance to win it and stick it wide. Extra time. Clare back to 15 and will now go on to win by 6-7 in extra time. Something similar happened to Clare last year. Wexford have **** the course.
2-25 apiece AET. Wexford might rue playing a one man full forward line. They were knocking the ball in long for respite and nobody was competing but they still managed to get enough ball to stay in it.
All-Ireland hurling champions Clare looked set to relinquish their title until a thrilling finish at Cusack Park that saw the Banner draw level and force extra-time, which failed to separate the sides. Following the gripping encounter in Ennis, Fitzgerald was involved in a heated exchange with a member of the press. Clare Champion reporter Peter O’Connell was after conducting post-match interviews in the tunnel following the conclusion of the qualifier when he became embroiled in a verbal altercation with the Clare manager. An irate Fitzgerald was seen remonstrating outside the Clare dressing room with O’Connell before Pat Fitzgerald, Davy’s father and long serving Clare County Board secretary stepped in to diffuse the situation. It is understood that Fitzgerald was unhappy with media coverage of his team from the paper, and the journalist in question. - See more at: http://www.independent.ie/sport/gae...nel-bustup-30409405.html#sthash.E3QVr0R6.dpuf
Up Kerry, can't believe they were outsiders today, very poor Cork team. Dublin or Kerry for Sam on what I've seen so far. Wexford's inexperience showed but a good performance and with the under 21's playing the Leinster final mid week, Clare should progress at the weekend. Kilkenny beat the Dubs at there leisure, 2nd gear and strolled out comfy winner...have we seen both All Ireland champs in action today with Kerry and KK? Under 21 game might be off midweek now so Wexford will have a decent chance of progressing then, big ask to play 3 tough games like that a week.
That Clare v Wexford game was a belter. More entertainment in that game than every windyball soccer world cup game put together if you ask me. I was surprised to see Cork getting smashed like that by Kerry. I thought Cork would have won that game but it looks like Kerry have found a few players. Kilkenny were just too good for Dublin and even though Dublin were poor it seems that Kilkenny are a mission and will be hard to stop. They are still **** at football though
Was at the game last night. Wexford were the better team and won by five points in the end, Dublin just couldn't stop that McDonald chap and they had another forward called Jack Guiney who was popping them over from everywhere.
