Went to bed early last night, just before the game started, 12.30am here,so i had a nice surprise when i watched it this morning. Appears that the old syndrome of getting beat in the capital is returning for the skinks. Ole, Ole.<laugh><laugh><laugh>

Just been over on to their board and I'm amazed at how fickle those mags are, one defeat, albeit a heavy, humiliating one, and they are crucifying the same players that have took them to the false position that they are in now. at least we know that our lads gave it all and we accepted defeat gracefully, when Henry came on it was inevitable really, but anyway next week is the one we want badly - I missed the 1973 final because I was stuck in another part of the world and couldn't get home but this time there will be no chance of me missing it, if we make it that is, here's hoping.

nailed it mate, it took them ages to pluck up the courage to pop their heads up,but if we remind them of the score think they will scurry back

I'd say the mass exodus has more to do with it than getting a beating.

I do not undestand why newcastle are in a 'false position'. Are you suggesting they have been given points that should be deducted. Does the same apply fro man city ....or wigan?

Well the free kick that led to your winner at Sunderland was given for a non-existent foul,so there is two points which you should never have had..<whistle>

Forgetting that Larsson saved a certain goal off the line with his hand and should have seen red for his efforts are we?

I'd rather lose 5-0 to a great attacking title winning team than losing 5-1 to a newly promoted team.

Pleased for you - when did you lose 5 -1 to a newly promoted team, then? Recent, was it?

104 years ago. Before the Second World War. Before the First World War, even. Edward VII was monarch (we're on our 4th since).

Your kidding, I thought it was 5 seasons ago. The explicit detail that game is explained in everytime it's brought up, how the names of the scorers just role off the Mackem tongue........oh hang on a minute.
