Is ours now, as we all say, if there is something you can count on, it's us grabbing 4th season, ahhhh how nice, 2 relaxing games before the cup final.
I don't want the team to relax though, they need to keep the momentum going into the cup final. Hull are now in the Europey by virtue of us finishing in the top four and being in the FA cup final.
I know I've been highly critical of Wenger's tactical ability recently but I have to hand it to Wenger. The 'sleeping giants' of Liverpool and Tottenham, along with the might of Chelsea and the Manchester clubs have been a looming threat to our Champions's League qualification for several years now and we have never failed to qualify despite this increase in competition. Man Utd, on the other hand HAVE failed to meet the challenge posed by those threatening to break into the 'top four.' I don't subscribe to the view that holds "we have no chance of winning it so what's the point?" or "if we fail, maybe that will be the kick up the backside Wenger and the board need." The simple truth is that top players want to play in the CL and by qualifying we remain an attractive destination for the top striker we desperately need. Lets ****ing win the cup and kick on by strengthening our attack in the summer. COYG!
In the prediction league I had Arsenal down as finishing 3rd and winning the FA cup. I'd be well happy with 4th and the FA cup. Whatever people want to say about Wenger and this season, if we win the cup, it's an improvement on last year. Also we looked more likely title contenders this season than we have for almost a decade.
Normally I'd disagree but we're safe and it'll be Fab's last home game so let him start. And I want him in form for the final so let him start vs Norwich too. But I'd defo take it easy on some of our better players (Flamini/Kimmy K might even start)
Ramsey and Ozil should start both to get fitness back and Giroud has to play for obvious reasons. Cazorla and Arteta can have a couple of games rest for the final
Tbh, Id rather Akpom is given a couple of games. Giroud is poor and should go in the summer. If we make one signing this summer it has to be a CF and Id rather give a kid a a chance than continue with Giroud. We will finish 4th so there 2 games dont matter which means he will probably do well, but I want to see anyone start before him for exactly that reason. And next year I want a new signing as our first choice CF, Joel Campbell as second choice and then Sanogoal and Akpom can fight it out for 3rd and 4th
Jesus ****, no offence but thank god your not the manager. Going into a new season with the strike force you suggested would be a disaster. Campbell has never ever played as a lone CF. He would be eaten alive in the PL as a CF. Sanogo is all limbs at the moment and does not like he he will even get a goal for us. Akpom is just kid and needs a long loan spell first and foremost. Whatever you think about Giroud, the man has scored 21 goals this season and loves to score against the **** teams. Having a player like him in the squad would be perfect.
We are not going to lose 4th place so why not give Akpom a chance for the last 2 games? The only argument against that is that we need the first team players to be match fit for the FA Cup final. Giroud is, imo, a player who will put away chances but only when they are set up perfectly for him and there are plenty of other players who will do that as well. He is not the quality I expect at Arsenal and should be replaced as first choice. As second choice maybe, but there were rumours his wife will leave him if he doesnt move back to France in the summer as well and if he is a decent person he will go to save his marriage. If he doesnt he is not the sort of person I would back, he made the commitment so should stick with it. And finally, I am a Christian so find your opening 2 words unacceptable. I know we all have out faults but thats not on.
There are some good teams in there. This year's finalists would give most teams a run for their money. And if you guys should fail to qualify for the Champions League group stage or drop in to the Europa League at some stage next season, I would hope you take it serioulsy and win it!!
Considering at the start of the season i had us down to finish 10th, 4th is a small achievement of sorts, though it's tarnished by the fact we did lead the league for over half a season. If only RambOzil didn't get injured...
I am not arguing against giving Akpom or whoever a chance in the next two games. But he should not be part of our first team squad next season. Like I said, going into a new season with a new CF,Akpom,Campbell and Sanogo as our CF's would be suicidal, because if the new CF gets injured we are left with three untested kids. If we want to get rid of Giroud, which we won't, because no way is Wenger going to dump a guy who just scored 20 odd goals for him, then we need to replace him with a seasoned striker.
And you think Giroud, Sanogo and Bendtner are better do you? I cant see us getting more than one new CF so think this is the best option we have of improving the quality up front. And even if we did sign more than one they would not both be world class as you wouldnt get a wc player to sign to be second choice. I think Campbell is a step up from Bendtner, a new striker would be better than Giroud and we keep Sanogo with Akpom promoted to have a chance. Its really not that big a change.
Have you ever watched Joel Campbell play? He is not a lone CF. If he was brought back from loan, Wenger would play him on the right. My strike force for next season would be, A new CF,Giroud, and then if we both of those are injured, then I would play Walcott through the middle. Akpom or Sangogo for the League goal. Oh and it's now 22 goals for Giroud this season. Having a flat track bully like him in the squad is invaluable when we want to rest our new CF.

If like you say, we are only to going one CF, then there is not point in getting rid of Giroud, unless you are trying to tell me that Campbell,Sangogo and Akpom are better options than Giroud. The idea is to make our squad stronger not weaker for next season.
