I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but it looks like that after this period of tough games we could easily be out of all competitions....but still fighting for our favourite trophy: the 4th place trophy United were there for the taking but we started putting serious pressure only from the 70th minute..now Loserpool only 3 points behind.
Good thing is our next three league games are against the so called 'weaker' teams (two of those at home), and this season, we shown an immense ability to beat these teams. Win those three, and that should give us some breathing space.
We're a point off the top of the table, think i'll keep enjoying the title challenge for a bit longer lol
Oh FFS we're 1 point off the top and our next 4 games are Sunderland, Stoke, Swansea and Spurs, games that we should be winning and getting 12/12 points. City and Chelsea still have to play us and Pool and Moysey boy might just help us take points off City. Still a long way to go, plenty of variables, and anything can happen. We are still right in the mix for the title.
It's not the league table that's worrying, it's the performances. When's the last game you'd say we played well?
Thought we played well today tbh, though i only saw the second half and had heard prior to tuning in that the first was pretty boring. I know we didn't manage to score today but we controlledposession, created more hances and better chances than Utd and tbh i was never worried we would lose, it was just about whether we would find a goal in time.
Have you guys got a mental block when it comes to playing Manchester United? Should have been there for the taking!!
And what the **** were you lot doing? You basically gave up on the top four with that performance. Pretty weak from Moyes.
Our remaining Prem games: v. Sunderland (H) v. Stoke (A) v. Swansea (H) v. Spurs (A) v. Chelsea (A) v. City (H) v. Everton (A) v. West Ham (H) v. Hull (A) v. Newcastle (H) v. West Brom (H) v. Norwich (A) Out of these the only games where we (in an ideal world) might struggle are Spurs, Chelsea, City, Everton. Everton and Spurs are beatable and we can defo beat Chelsea and City if we play at our best. Still a very long way to go.
Man C should win their game in hand which will put us 3rd. We then have to make that point up and watch Liverpool 3 points behind and the spuds 6 points behind. The lose of Theo and I think Pod must be injured as he has been limping a lot in his recent appearances has had a big impact. Flamini back should help but we have Ramsey out as well of course. The problem we have is its hard to see where goals will come from, so not only have we lost top place but are looking more likely than the teams above us to drop points.
That's my point as well, yes we're only a point behind but it seems an eternity since we had a win that exuded league winning confidence. Agreed that winning against the so called minnows may restore some of the gap (though beating Spurs will be very hard unless we up our game several notches)....what we desperately need is a big win against one of the big boys (either in the cups or the league) to spark the imagination back into the team and fans.
That's just one of those stats that plays on a football fan's mind.Up until last Saturday we hadn't lost a league game at Anfield for 6/7 years,we also hadn't lost a game for two years were Mert & Kos had played 90mins together
If you look at my profile I am not a United fan!! Have had a liking for Arsenal all my life!! We'll you've got the bogey team out of the way, now start believing in yourselves and give the Chavs and City a good stuffing!!
Lol, we suck, our only chance of winning the league is by beating the **** teams, lol, pitiful, if we win the league like that, **** that ****, we'd be one of the most rubbish champions in EPL history, like United last season.
Maybe, don't rule out Big Sam, he's been terrorizing Wenger for years. Honestly only see about 5 "easy" games out of that list for Arsenal, the others are certainly capable of holding their own against a toothless Arsenal. (Giroud.. what does he actually do?)
What does Giroud do? Don't you see? His job is to simply **** up and cause frustration for Arsenal fans, that's his main job, to make us a laughing stock.
