It seems the team finishing 4th in the Championship has the worst record for winning promotion: 3rd place - 9 wins 4th place - 4 wins 5th place - 6 wins 6th place - 5 wins Let's hope we buck the trend...
I don't think there's any formula in that. It's just coincidence. I don't think it means anything. It's all about what happens now.
What is more interesting is the stat for 3rd place. It is as you would expect though. Derby were the third best team in the division and are the best team in the play-off places. It is why if I was a betting man that my money would be on them to get promoted. It would be a great achievement for McLaren.
Surely we've seen that anyone can beat anyone. We lost to Leicester at home after chances to be 2/3.up by half time. We might have beaten Burnley but for BAE's headrush. It's all about the next 2, hopefully 3 games.
Took them from mid table to above us, while we went from top to fourth after he left. That's no coincidence.
Agreed - apparently it's part of the master plan to earn a big pay day for Tony and go up in style at Wembley
Its interesting that. A few weeks ago everyone wanted Derby and wanted to avoid Wigan at all costs! I agree with awjm. There's no real order to those Stats. Its just the way you play on the day really.
