Nice reading guys,do sky know something we don't All odds are to 1 Derby 11 Brentford 12 Burnley 12 Bristol City 16 Ipswich 16 QPR 16 Wolves 16 Forest 18 Wednesday 18 Blackburn 20 Brighton 20 Cardiff 20 Fulham 20 Leeds 20 Huddersfield 25 Reading 25 Birmingham 28 Bolton 28 MK Dons 28 Charlton 50 Rotherham 80 Anybody surprised to see that?
That's very short odds even considering our wonderful season just gone. Very surprised how low Birmingham, Baadiff and Reading are
No I ve posted it before, average odds is less but we are 4th to 7th only 2 bookies publishing we are in top 7 to gain promotion. but bear in mind the table is incomplete with 3 more teams to be added Norwich, Midds or the team from the prem likely to drop us down at least 2 places
These odds will change when the buying selling season starts and as JGF says when the league is finalised.
The record of teams rising to glory from Div 1 have obviously influenced the bookies, plus the manner of our promotion. It will be difficult for us to play the surprise card next season, but one feels we will be good enough. I think 4th is a fair shout for us
Seems optimistic to me in a very difficult division (one of the hardest in the world I would say) but I hope you're right!
I'm surprised Brentford are rated so highly. They had a fantastic last 2 seasons but I am not convinced they will be able to sustain it.
Considering the upheaval the chairman or owner has just inflicted on them, could go either way that one.
You have to be ****ing mental to think that we'll jump straight into the playoffs in the Championship. Did no one learn anything from our last season in the Championship?! A lot of the fans on here would say year after year that "this year, the Championship looks weak" and that "this is our year". It's an extremely challenging league, much more so than League 1. I would LOVE to be proved wrong, but if you think top four is attainable without seeing what signings we'll be making this year you need your head sorting out.
The Championship is massively difficult, Teams that have struggled this season just gone will still be very hard to beat home or away. I'm talking the likes of Rotherham, Reading, Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham etc who have all underperformed this season. Add in the likes of Leeds, Blackburn, Forest, Derby, Ipswich and no game is a foregone conclusion. It could be a huge reality check for our squad who've done so well and lost so few games. If we go into the new season thinking it'll still be a stroll in the park then we might be in for a nasty shock.
