Tottenham's second goal was 48 passes before they scored, without a tackle from a QPR player. That is more passes that ended in a goal than the whole of last year in the premiership. Early days, but when you get players in late and have no pre-season with them all playing as a team, no wonder they look lost. That said the end of last season we looked poor, and i do wonder what they do on the training ground. Two games and two goals scored from headers from corners. Sunderland next than Man United. What game will see us get our first point?
Well that settles it then it wasnt the formation or who was chosen it was a collective lack of effort in closing down and winning the ball. Sunderland played well against this formation so thats worrying. I have never ssaid this before but if Man Utd have the back 3 they finished with today then we have a chance of point(s)
Don't be silly, didn't you see Ashley Young practising for our arrival at today's game?... http://metro.co.uk/2013/11/06/gallery-ashley-youngs-best-internet-diving-pictures-4175672/
Perhaps he'll fall over twice and get sent off. Amazing how quickly "the man who wears the manager's hat at Old Trafford" learns the mantra that "he was fouled and we should have had a penalty". LVG this is Ashley Young. That is what he does. Didn't they tell you that when you signed?
So the team played poorly as a whole and lost. Probably fair to say that Spurs played much better than normal, hence the 48 passes and the 4-0 score line. I'd be even more worried if we played well and still lost by that score. Onwards and upwards.
Do you think a Pochettino team would have allowed this? Or a Sean Dyche team? It comes from the manager. He is directly responsible for what is happening on the pitch. If it isn't his fault then why on earth is he paid millions of pounds a year? He doesn't do the coaching and the man management side has also been largely delegated to Steve Black Why is he not responsible for when it goes badly on the pitch but if it goes well against Sunderland next week you can bet your life there's going to be people posting on here about how brilliant Harry is Do you know what Harry did whilst this was happening? Sat on his arse 48 pass move without us tackling was the best or actually should say worst example of a team that didn't understand their positions or their team mates positions. A team that didn't have a plan B when it fell behind and a team that suffered as a direct result f selections that 90% of fans called as mistakes before the game
This is funny. If he's directly responsible for what happens on the pitch, that would make him directly responsible for promotion then, no? And if the man management is left to Steve Black then shouldn't he get a share of the blame for yesterday's performance? (Not that I think he should. Its a farce even mentioning his name either this season or last)
