Sounds like JW may revert to 442 at Morecombe on Saturday, playing Keith and Alfred up front. I know that this is probably forced on him by injuries to Brunt and Clarkson, but I think we should give it a go anyway. Our biggest victories under JW's reign have come from this and with JJO'T and Norburn in midfield, we now have the players for it. Thoughts Gasheads?
Rodders are you ready for your View attachment 21694 on Saturday View attachment 21696 vs Barnsley. You will probably win this one as I predicted you would beat Cardiff and draw with Holloways Crystal Palace and lose to Barnsly as I was wide of the mark you will coast it. Noticed that Barnsley have taken Man utds Tunnicliffe on loan so they must be serious about staying up. As for form you have only lost two of your last 6 home games ranked 4th ironically Barnsley have only lost 1 of there last 6 away games and are also ranked 4th its going to be a toughie. Should be like a cup game on Saturday if you lose it does not mean you are doomed to relegation but it makes that more difficult to survive. COR View attachment 21695
im undecided on the 451 or 442. i have been against 451 in the pass but JW has certainly been successful with 451 so far so i cant complain. i do think 451 should be used away and 442 used at home. 451 away so we can be hard to break down. 442 at home as we would be expected to attack more and brunt on his own will not always work. then again, if you think about it we have scored majority of our goals (i think) while JW has changed to 442 from 451 with the last 20 mins left. but for me stick to what were doing and make sure we remain hard to beat. 10 games under JW and only 2 defeats which was against the gills and rotherham who are both currently in the top 3. its working and its important we stay up and not losing will keep us up.
Evening Cock on Saturday to me is going to be the decider whether we can stay up, win and it could be the start of the wheels falling off for Barnsley. Lose and it could put us too far behind. Our problem is whenever we get a result so do the others, but this time playing one of them will prevent that. We have since SoD came 100% home record conceding one, scoring 6. But away we have technically not scored Palarce and Caaadiff have felt sorry for us gifting us goals in injury time which strangely enough they were not even under pressure. If we go down, we go down I will be buying my season ticket regardless. I said JW will take you too mid table and you will be safe. But it ain't football as Bristol knows it without nail biting involved
Agree 100% Keep up the good work with the defence. we'll still score a few goals as proven. Once we are certain of safety then I'd like to see JW open it up a bit and see what we can do.
