Mark Fotheringham from us at 62, Donati at 50 (also played with Celtic) and Shaun Maloney at 93. The 3 of them duds really, and them all above Kaka. <yikes>

Sorry for butting in, but that list is strange.

Just like picking horses though isn't it. At the time it looks a reasonable suggestion, but factor in injuries, loss of form, being at the wrong club at the wrong time (e.g. Liverpool spending most of the decade in turmoil),the manager doesn't fancy your style of play, etc. and it soon changes. Interesting that I can't see any players listed as being with Chelsea on the list, shows how they have bought in success rather than having young talent to nurture.

And as Kaka at 95 has been mentioned as a yardstick, look at David Prutton at 99, only a few places below. Whatever happened to him I wonder.

From a City perspective I am surprised that Daniel Webb is not on the list after Peter Taylor spotted him as a talent for the future.

True, but you would expect more of them to have made the grade at a higher level. Interesting reading nonetheless,

And no sign of Caleb Folan on the list. Just a few years after the list was made that great judge Paul Jewell said of Folan, "He's strong, he's aggressive, he's got a finisher's instinct and I think he will add competition in an area where the squad needs bolstering." Just shows how a player can be a late developer.

The number 2 player has 25 caps for Argentina(and in 2008 LA Galaxy made an unsuccessful $10m bid for him), so I assume he's half decent.

He was at Pompey on loan for a short while.

I really rated John Welsh, but after his leg break he never seemed quite the same. I was right alongside him when that happened, I heard the leg snap. :emoticon-0120-doh:

Pity about Welsh, hope Stewart comes back strong, he "could" (even with the injury) be great.. Ashton's injuries were sad to see too..

no.64 Chopra.. erm.. rings a bell.. haven't we not seen him around recently?
