Mine!! 40th in January so was awaiting the fixtures as am thinking of booking one of those match day packages including some food, ale, programme etc and take my little lad (4 years old - he has been shielded long enough) and taking my family in the North east to celebrate with me. Looking at home game in December or January. Does anyone have any experience of these packages (Sports bar etc) and have any recommendations? Any advice gratefully received.

Aye mate my dad organised it for boxing day, the sit down suited up meal v blackburn, was class, nice meal, programme & key ring (i still have it on my car key) got well oiled, they take your order for half time so your drink is there with snacks, same after then quinny spoke and motm is announced, few players came in to do autographs then into the blackcats bar, great experience.

Also done the boxes a few times with our lasses work, free bar happy days

Cheers mate. Sounds good. Take it the players only turn up in the 'suited up' areas and not the sports bar/quinn bar areas?

A few came into the bar for an orange juice, it was mainly the hangers on, remember some twat getting his driving license out to proove he was a players brother (cant remember who) grandpops might recall when he is on later.

When you book it you buy a bar tab, we went over it by £140, you settle it later by invoice, 4 of us £35 each for a cracking day/night, that was spent mainly in the bar afterwards mind, which is optional

I bet most on here were taken as a young un by our dads or uncles and the family talk was always about Sunderland. My Uncle took me ROker Park Clock Stand with a box he made just for me when I was 5 and a bit.

It's just like a marriage really, we still love our lasses, despite the endless years of misery they inflict upon us <ok>
