Is it just me that thinks 4 points isn't good enough for our next 2 games... If we are serious to challenge for a top 2 we have to be beating automatic rivals which apparently Orient are. Don't get me wrong if we walk away with 4 points I won't be too disappointed but feel our team are quite capable of winning both and if im honest... should be beating both. Tuesday just needs to be forgotten about. Think Wolves lost to Burton in the League cup this time last year so we can't read to much into it. Would be nice to see 9 point on the board at 10pm Tuesday! COYR!

2 home games = 6 points this season I hope

Previously we'd have got 1 point from 2 games, but this season we need to show all visitors who's in charge.

I'd love us to absolutely batter Colchester and Orient and have a bag full of goals in both games

A win against Col U and a draw against Orient is respectable.. Orient will be up there when the season ends.. But Beating the likes of Colchester should be our bread and butter.. however I don't think it will be straightforward

I think you need to win your home games and draw your away games, so with the win at Sheffield we are in credit so 4 pts will do ;)

If you said pre season we would be on 7 points after 3 games I would of bit your hand off.

After the sheffied game 9 points is achievable.

If we are serious then i expect us to win our home games, draw or win the majority of away games.
Also if we are contenders beating your rivals in their backyard says we will be there.

To say we won at sheffield, so four points is okay is not what we want,we want to put some breathing space on the board, not say ah well we won away so a draw is okay.

Ruthless comes to mind, and if you want promotion you need plenty of it.

I think there are more 'strong' teams in this league than folks realise, there will always be the 4 or 5 'whipping boys', but there has been a lot of money spent before the season started in this division.. points after the first ten games will be a good indicator, 16 points and we're heading for a safe upper half spot, 20 points, well, time to start dreaming again ......... and I don't think 20 points is to high an expectation. ........ Enjoy the ride folks .. COYR !

We let Orient off the hook at home last season. So why do it again?

Six points from two home games is the only target we should be aiming for!

The simple fact is that if you consider yourselves to be promotion candidates the you should be capable of beating all the other teams and accept the odd anomaly as just the way the cookie crumbles. Accepting our lousy home record of last season is not an option if SC wants to prove himself to his doubters as being a winner at this level.

Ashton Gate, or what's left of it, should become a fortress and other teams enter will at their own peril. Nothing else is acceptable and powder puff defending akin to the last several years has to be kicked down the street.

Spot on Mike but for too many years, under Del, Millen and SOD it was a place teams came with one eye on 3 points, and also scored goals against us for fun.

Playing away is never easy, no matter who the opposition are, so points gained on the road are a valuable addition, but 3 points at home virtually every game is a must. There will always be the odd game that you'll find a stubborn or lucky opponent, but look at Brentford last season. They won something like 18 or 19 home matches and that alone was nearly enough for automatic promotion.

Orient lost at home to Chesterfield on the opening day, while Colchester got a home draw. I will be really disappointed with anything less than 6 points from these 2 games

I do agree it's a tougher and more even league this time around, but we ought to be contenders.

ABSOLUTELY said it loads of times over the past few seasons, don't think I did one last year, but a table based on "my" final league table showing points from who.

    top 8 middle 8 and bottom 8

roughly 38 points from bottom 8 teams....29 from mid 8 teams ...20 from top 7 teams =84 points

so at the mo..a good start with 3 from Sheff away

need 6 realistically 4 IS A DISSAPOINTMENT if we only have 4 then 3 against Orient preferred !!!!
